Glenn and I talked it over and we're proposing to start our annual Prospect Draft on Sunday June 29th at 12:00 Noon. Unless there are a lot of guys that can't make it for this weekend, we believe that this is the best possible date to start our draft as it is before the July 1st/4th holiday and the summer holidays in general.
The NHL draft starts Friday June 27th in Philadelphia, so there is no reason we cannot get on board and get going on this too.
Thoughts/Comments on this date are welcomed.

I will actually be in Philly that weekend at Paul's place, maybe we all should meet out there and have a live draft!

Lol that would be fine with me. The 29th draft part, not meeting at Paul's lol. Don't think I'll be able to drive to Philly haha.

Hey guys just reviewing this date for the Canadian managers in this league most of us will be taking the weekend and Monday off at the cottage and for the American's the next weekend is no good because of July 4. Can we schedule the draft for the July 12th weekend our do something similar with the FA draft we did last year for the teams that folded mid week?

Well Andrew, most guys have indicated they are ok with this date so far. It seems that no matter what, there is going to be a conflict in dates simply because we'll be into the summer holidays no matter what date we choose. I think you will be ok, even at the cottage, when you consider that: - there are 12 hours between picks; - you can leave a list with another GM; - you can text and/or e-mail your pick to Glenn, myself or another GM; - I can text/e-mail you a list of who's been taken prior to your pick; and - we usually kick this event off early. |

Yea, with 12 hours between picks that should be more than enough time even if on vacation. Even if I'm out of town on a golf trip haha.
