Sign Jordan Schmaltz (D) - STL to farm team Andrew, I show that adding Schmaltz to your farm will put you at 19 players on the farm, which is 1 over the limit. It is only after the entry draft where a team will be allowed to carry 20 players on their farm. The only way you can exceed 18 farm players presently is if you acquire extra players in a multi-player trade. Please let me know if you are dropping another player or if your roster doesn't match the Team Roster page that I maintain. |

ok let me correct this then sign Jordan Schmaltz (D) - STL to Farm Team, release Tomas Vokoun (G) - PIT, and place Brendon Dillon - D (DAL) to Roster. Steve can you please update the draft picks page to complete my deal with Lee in which I have his 2017 1st now.

Sorry to say Andrew, but you cannot pick up Subban because your team is already at 46 players. Your fine with being at that number of players as you acquired two additional players in your trades; however, if you want Subban, you have to drop someone else at the same time. Please let me know what you intend to do.

After the drafts, it is 47. We're still under the old regime of 44 players on your roster, but if you acquire more players your trades, you can exceed that number. This is why you are fine at 46. Once we're done the drafts, your team will be at 49 players unless you trade away and/or don't make a pick.
If you want Subban, please drop another player first.

Since the draft officially started today you won't be able to sign any farm eligible players until after the draft concludes. All farm eligible players are available to be selected during this draft not just kids entering the NHL this weekend.

I think you misunderstood. You didn't have to move anyone I think. If after the draft your team was at 48 then that would be the number you can't exceed until its time to become roster compliant. So if I'm at 50 and your at 48 after both drafts, then that means I can't exceed 50 players max and you can't exceed 48.
Am I right in saying that Steve??

Making the trade now does free up roster space; however, since the Prospect Draft has now officially commenced, you can't add any farm eligible players to your team. I informed you shortly after you picked up Subban that you had to make a corresponding drop for me to be able to do this. I then answered your questions regarding the team size early on the 27th. I can't rely on you possibly making a trade or not to then make Subban fit under your roster limit. To be fair to anyone else contemplating adding Subban to their roster, in all good faith, I just can't make an exception now. |

You're correct with the roster sizes Lou, but this was a somewhat different situation as Andrew was trying to add Subban to his roster, which was already maxed out until he made this trade with Dale. |
