1) Each GM will have 12 hours to make his pick. The clock starts when the pick ahead of you is made. Every night between 12 AM and 6 AM, the clock will freeze. You can make your pick if you are on the clock, but the clock is frozen during those 6 hours. 2) When you have made your pick, email and/or PM the GM with the next pick to let them know the clock has started for him. 3) If a GM misses their pick; i.e. the 12 hour clock expires, the next GM can proceed with their pick. The GM who missed his pick can make up his pick when ever he wants, but in the meantime, the draft continues. 4) If you can not make your picks within the 12 hour window, you can e-mail/PM your choice to either Glenn, myself or another GM of your choosing to make that pick for you.. 5) Post your draft picks here: thegmhl.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=111&action=display&thread=18

As some of you guys know, I'm in a lot of leagues. Some have already completed their drafts. As you might imagine, most have been slow, arduous affairs and not really a whole lot of fun to participate, because quite frankly, the apathy out there is tremendously negative with the ongoing lockout.
I've spent time chatting with Glenn and we intend to follow the guidelines I've listed above; however, if this draft starts to bog down, what will happen is that the team missing their pick will automatically have the best player available chosen for them.
If any of the Yahoo live drafts, there is an auto-pick function available that will pick the best player available if your time expires. The best player available is determined by the O-Rank on the Yahoo tab, which is the default player listing when you select that tab.
I really don't want to implement this option, but we just might have to depending how this dispersal draft goes.
To me, using the O-Rank to make picks for GMs who just don't show up accomplishes two things:
1. The draft will continue in an orderly fashion;
2. The integrity of the teams and their composition is maintained; if we have to look at replacing GMs in the future, then at least we know we've attempted to make their teams as competitive as possible.
If anyone has any other idea to offer up, then please don't hesitate to let us know your thoughts.

If you make a mistake and pick somebody that is already on someone else's roster, the draft will continue on wards and not wait for you to fix your error.
I'm sure that if anyone of us notices this mistake, he will tell the GM who made the pick to fix it as soon as he can, but, the onus is on everyone to make a good selection. I try to keep everything up-to-date as much as possible, so you really don't have any excuses.
If another team(s) select before you fix your mistake, their picks will stand, so please take that extra couple of minutes to check the rosters over before you post your pick.

I've reconsidered my position on how much time OTC each GM shall have to make their picks. This is due to:
- some GMs just not making their picks in a timely manner; and
- a number of GMs have asked that I do something to move this draft along;
As of 12:00 PM October 28th, 2012 or after the Isotopes next pick, whichever occurs first, we are now going to be on an 8 hour clock between picks.
If you are a repeat offender of not making your picks in a timely manner, than you are on a 4 hour clock. There is only 1 GM currently on a 4 hour clock. I'll make certain to let everyone know when his pick is up.
If you are finished picking, please let me know by PM, e-mail or just on the boards here itself, so that we don't wait needlessly for you to pick.
Thanks to everyone so far for your patience in what has become a rather long haul.
