Gentlemen,
I think we've set a new record for making our roster cuts and getting our league dues paid in full. Thank you. It shows how passionate you all are.
I propose that the league restarts on June 2, 2020, and 7:00 p.m. EDT.
As in previous years, you can add/drop as many players you want, but in the first hour, you have to post each transaction you want separately. This gives every GM a fair opportunity to acquire the free agent they want. So, if you want to add/drop 3 players in the first hour, you have to make 3 separate posts.
Soon, I'll be cleaning up the master roster to reflect all players that will lose their farm eligibility by the time the 2020-21 season begins. You don't have to worry about how many pro/farm players you have until you have to be roster compliant, which will be the weekend prior to the start of the new NHL season. I'll remind everyone well in advance of this date.
Trades must be posted by 1 GM and accepted by the other GM in order to be considered a valid trade. You can make your trades on the following board:
Trade Announcements
If you make an unbalanced trade, say a 4:2 trade, that puts you over the maximum roster size, you can stay over the maximum roster size until we have to become roster compliant, you drop an excess player, or you have another trade that puts you back to whatever your roster maximum is.
For example, if you have 4 Entry Draft selections that bring you up to a roster size of 51 and then complete a 4:2 trade, your new maximum roster size would increase to 53. You can stay at 53 players even if you want to add a player, but if you do add a player, you also have to drop a player; however, this applies only if you have 47 players or more on your roster.
I'll be posting something about our draft lottery shortly. The entry draft itself most likely will start at the same time as the NHL entry draft. I'll post more about our entry draft as we get closer to when the NHL is ready to start the entry draft.
