The 2019-2020 season will be open for business on Sunday, April 21, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. EDT.
The only changes to be implemented for next season were the ending of mini-competition and, as voted on, the limit of allowing a maximum of 2 new player acquisitions per week. I've tweaked the language on the rules page to add clarity to the rules and regulations we follow. You can go to the rules page here:
Rules
For the first hour only, you have to make a separate post for each player you want to add to your team, so if you want to add three players, you need to make 3 separate entries. This allows all GMs a better opportunity to add a player they want without having just the first poster getting 3 or 4 players before anyone else has a chance to get their add/drop in.
Trades must be posted by 1 GM and accepted by the other GM in order to be considered a valid trade. You can make your trades on the following board:
Trade Announcements
Soon, I'll be cleaning up the master roster to reflect all players that will lose their farm eligibility by the time the 2019-20 season begins. You don't have to worry about how many pro/farm players you have until you have to be roster compliant, which will be the weekend prior to the start of the new NHL season. I'll remind everyone well in advance of this date.
We'll be starting our Entry Draft on the same day as the NHL Entry Draft, which starts on June 21, 2019. All teams will be able to make all draft selections they own, even if it means they go over the maximum roster size of 47. You can stay over the maximum roster size until everyone has to be roster compliant (the weekend before the regular season begins).
If you make an unbalanced trade, say a 4:2 trade, that puts you over the maximum roster size, you can stay over the maximum roster size until we have to become roster compliant, you drop an excess player, or you have another trade that puts you back to whatever your roster maximum is.
For example, if you have 4 Entry Draft selections that bring you up to a roster size of 51 and then complete a 4:2 trade, your new maximum roster size would increase to 53. You can stay at 53 players even if you want to add a player, but if you do add a player, you also have to drop a player; however, this applies only if you have 47 players or more on your roster.
