The Ajax Knights have decided to take a flier and have come to terms with RW Matt Frattin. After maturing under Sutter's system in LA, Frattin has assured the Knights organization that his on-ice awareness and physical play has developed over the past two seasons and anticipates playing alongside former teammate Nazim Kadri, a line in which he has arguably played his best hockey. Number 3 in the RW Leaf's depth charts, number 1 (for today) in the GM's heart.

Well Ryan, I hope this signing of Frattin works out for you, but Frattin may be hard pressed to see any time on the Leafs with their recent signings of Mike Santorelli, Petri Kontiola and Leo Komarov. I think that all 3 may be ahead of Frattin on the depth charts, but I guess time will tell.

I agree with Steve. With recent signings Frattin could be seeing 4th line/AHL time in Toronto. Good flier tho.

We'll guys, these are all things I've considered. However, all of Santorelli, Komarov and Kontiola are positional centres and Frattin is RW so I'm hoping he keeps his RW preference and remain ahead of these guys in the depth charts. Also, he signed a one way contract so I'm doubting any time with the marlies unless its a complete disaster

One way just means he makes the same amount of $$ in both the NHL and AHL. Komarov is a winger, bout center, and Santorelli has been known to play some RW. Either way tho, its a good signing worth the chance just in case.
I see Toronto's 4 centers as Kadri, Bozak, Holland, and then a 4th liner either Kontiola or someone else.... May be forgetting someone lol.
Nice addition tho IMO.
