2017-18 Regular Season Wrap Up

Well, here's another year in the GMHL in the books. I thought I would bring everyone up to date and provide a regular season update. Here are the final regular season standings:



The regular season prize distribution is as follows:


$70 - 1st overall - The Forsworn (Steve)

$50 - 2nd overall - Oshawa Rush (Stu)

$40 - 3rd overall - Barrie Beavers (Tom)

$30 - 4th overall - Ajax Knights (Ryan)

$25 - 5th overall - Milwaukee Beers (Mark)

$25 - best non-playoff team last 8 weeks - The Potato Chips (Anthony & Claud)

Milwaukee is awarded 5th overall by virtue of Yahoo's tiebreaker rules:

Regular season tiebreakers

For fantasy hockey, the tiebreaker is decided in the following order:

- Win percentage
- Points (points leagues only)
- Number of wins
- Recent week win percentages

Since Milwaukee's W-L-T record is 163-134-18 and Lysol Beach's is 160-131-24, Milwaukee wins the tiebreaker.

I'll be making the payouts shortly after the GMHL playoffs are over. All teams with winnings should let me know if they want me to deduct next year's league fees from their prize money.
