2017-18 Yahoo Playoffs

Many GMS here wanted to make sure that our playoffs ended a week earlier than the NHL regular season so that we avoided teams sitting out their star players during our the final week of our playoffs.

I'm fine with doing that but you should know that this year, Yahoo is set to run the 3rd week of the playoffs over the last two weeks of the NHL regular season. This would mean our playoffs would start in week 21 and end after week 23 of the season, which would be March 25.

I would prefer having the two weeks final myself, but it is up to you guys to collectively decide what you want, so let's vote on it.

The vote to have a 2-week final for our playoffs has carried by a vote of 8-6. Thanks to everyone for voting.

For future years, if Yahoo has set a 2 week final as an option in the playoffs, that is what we'll do. Any year that Yahoo has a 1-week final, our league playoffs will end 1 week prior to the end of the NHL regular season.

We can revisit this after the 2017-18 season to see if you guys want to keep the final week of the playoffs the same in future years.
