Brothers in years gone by the GMHL has always used Yahoo Instant Messenger (YIM) to stay in touch with each other "instantly".
Since they have updated YIM it isn't as user friendly as it once was and I fear that this where we're losing touch with each other. Email is great but we all know we only check it sparingly.
We need an instant messenger service we can all use and agree upon that keeps us in contact as I fear this is why the GMHL is so quiet right now rather than bustling with activity like it usually is.
Feel free to post your comments as we need a solution ASAP.

We should all have this as it works great. Completed a deals with Mike (Moose) and Chips today without a hitch as it's a consistent service.
12 teams (Whitby, Boca, AC Rebels, HGOB, Rush, Whalers, Lucys, Chips, Moose, Ajax, Forsworn, Shelby) have already signed into it so far.
C'mon brothers this can only help the league as far as keeping in contact. It also has a group function for when we have "family" meetings. This is perfect for league votes, trade deadline day and overall horsing around.. just ask Jen Aniston.
I'm convinced that all of having this will boost the energy of the G.

A WhatsApp group could be good. Instant and on your mobile. Just an idea.

Just downloaded Whatsapp myself. Seems to work flawlessly.

Yup. That would be my reco as well. BBM is better, but less ppl have it I gather these days. Whatsapp still pretty good #2

I agree with Glenn. The changes to YIM have been a huge kick to the nuts for the GMHL. I recently downloaded whatsapp. So far I like what I see. I think it's an excellent replacement for YIM.

You have to put in on your phone first, but once it is there you can access it through your computer.

That puts us up to 10 Teams with Whatsapp.
Should anyone cross paths with Dale (Chiefs) or Mark (Beers) over the next few days it'd be sweet if you could let them know the positives to having the app as well.
I've emailed them all but yer help would be greatly appreciated.

Most GMs use the G as their most involved league. I for one had zero other leagues last year but the G. Some of you are in multiple leagues and like it that way and that's fine. But we really should respect the GMHL Whatsapp board for it what it was intended for and that it is a direct link to the GMs for GMHL only. I got away from that myself and for that I apologize..
